The Lake Superior Shoreline
Lake Superior 14th Biennial Report on Water Quality is a document from a U.S.- Canadian cooperative on Great Lakes water quality. This report focuses on an article that "calls for programs to abate, control and prevent pollution from municipal sources entering the Great Lakes System."

Draft Environmental Impact Statement Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve is a large comprehensive document that was prepared to review the environmental consequences of a Federal action to approve a potential site nominated by the State of Wisconsin to the National Estuarine Research Reserve System. "It looks at the nominated site in its entirety along with a Management Plan that will serve to guide all aspects of managing the site for the conduct of research, education and outreach activities, and related management, acquisitions and community purposes."

Minnesota Lake Superior Beach Monitoring Program Website is a link to the beach monitoring program's website. It hosts a lot of information about the program and other beach information.

Lake Superior Lakewide Management Plan (LAMP) 2008 is a large comprehensive document prepared by the Binational Program's Superior Work Group. The purpose of the LAMP is "to provide an assessment of the state of the Lake Superior ecosystem, including its ecological impairments, emerging issues and their causes, and gaps in knowledge which require further research and monitoring." It has also identified actions required to achieve its goals and targets.

Lake Superior Tall Clay Bluff Restoration Demonstration Project is a newsletter for a project that had the goal to provide a demonstration site and a visual example that all of the Lake Superior Associationís soil and water conservation districts, shoreline land owners, and other local governments could benefit from as a learning/information tool in their conservation efforts. This project allowed for several slope restoration techniques and revegetation schemes on tall clay bluff shorelines.

Lake Superior Low Cost Shoreline Erosion Control Demonstration Projects is a newsletter about six projects that will save an estimated 545 tons/year of sediment from entering Lake Superior.

BMP Workshop on Minnesota/Lake Superior Basin is a newsletter about a project that had the goal to provide private shoreline landowners and local units of government with practical information focusing on how to install best management practices (BMPs) for the reduction of sediment and nutrient loadings to Lake Superior and its tributaries. One main result of the project's workshops was high landowner interests in BMP's and funding.

Soil Testing/Phreatic investigation:Lake Superior Shoreline Stabilization is a newsletter about a project that had the goal to create a base of information reduce the costs of shoreline stabilization designs and stretch cost

Minnesota Watermarks: Gauging the Flow of Progress is a document that begins a 10-year process toward unifying water management in Minnesota. It contains four statewide goals, nine objectives and 10 indicators to help measure results. As part of that process, teams were established to determine specific goals and objectives for Minnesotaís major water basins and to identify common concerns. The results of these team efforts are included in this report.

Lake Superior Zero Discharge Demonstration Program and Critical Chemical Reduction Milestones The goal of the Zero Discharge Demonstration Program (ZDDP) is to achieve zero release of certain designated persistent bioaccumulative toxic substances in the Lake Superior basin. This report has information and about the program and successes.

Stories From the Coast: The First Ten Years of Minnesota's Lake Superior Coastal Program 1999-2009 is a report describing the Coastal Program and what it has achieved in the past ten years.

The Impact of Urban Areas on Great Lakes Water Quality was developed because water quality occurs at the basin wide scale and requires regional solutions. The report proposes specific recommendations to local governments as well as to the state, provincial and federal levels.

Multi-Agency GIS Database and Planning Tool for Minnesota's Lake Superior Shoreline is a newsletter about a three year partnership between The Lake Superior Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts and the North Shore Management Board to develop a erosion control program. GIS was used by the collaborating agencies to create a useful planning tool.

A Land Planning Primer for Lake Superior Basin Communities was developed because of the need for information about the basin across political boundaries. It is organized into five sections: A general description of the planning process, a step-by-step guide to the process of gathering local knowledge and community values for the plan, developing themes and designs to achieve the community goals, collecting and applying data for the plan, and planning resources.

Lake Superior Basin Plan, 2004 is a large comprehensive document for a plan that attempts to broadly define strategies, geographic and programmatic priorities, and goals for the management of water resources in the Minnesota portion of the Lake Superior Basin. This plan is primarily focused on watersheds, but included are policy recommendations that apply throughout the landscape.
