This page is working toward connecting local government land use decisions to the scientific water quality studies taking place along Lake Superior.

Website Purpose
The goal of this project is to make the region's watershed scientific information available to local land use decision makers and the public. This is to be accomplished by assembling and describing the scientific water quality studies, monitoring efforts, and improvement efforts that have occurred and are occuring along the North Shore of Lake Superior. This information will be used when the NSMB redevelops its Management Plan in response to the new Statewide Shoreland Standards expected in 2010.
